What is Smutstone?
A card battler with a story worth unlocking
Smutstone mixes the discipline of a collectible card game with the storytelling of a visual novel. You start as an ordinary visitor at a night club when a dancer is snatched through a magical portal by an evil sorceress. Without a second thought you leap after her and land in a gothic fantasy realm where witches, elves, fairies and paladins clash for control of the land.
From that moment on, everything you do is about cards. Every heroine you meet becomes a card in your collection, and every card is a fighter. The game is free to play and runs in any modern web browser, with an Android app available for players who prefer to carry their deck around. The interface supports English, German and French.
Developer and publisher Hooligapps launched Smutstone on March 29, 2019. Since then the game has grown into one of the better-known adult card games on Nutaku, with regular seasonal events such as the Cursed Forest, Bloody Sabbath and Century Storm adding fresh cards and story chapters every few weeks.
